A rowing ergometer typically operates without a drive motor and without electronic resistance control. Therefore, there are only a few components that could wear out after a few thousand hours of training, and the machine operates reliably in continuous use. The only electronics are in the device displays, performance monitors, or consoles, which, depending on the device, can be paired via Bluetooth with common training apps.
